Our Pastor
REV. JAMES PRENTICE BURKS
TERESA ANN BURKS
The whole gospel to the whole world by the whole church while adhering to Apostolic doctrine. I have a burden to reach a lost and dying world without compromising our foundational doctrines. We believe in the operation of the Holy Ghost followed with signs, wonders and miracles.
To create a spiritual safe haven for the lost, broken, and hurting. This generation is experiencing a time of restoration, healing, and deliverance. My wife and I have a burden to love the people and continue to create an atmosphere for new growth. We are aware that this does not always happen over night, but it does come by fasting and prayer which is what we live by in our current ministerial status where we pastor.
Pastor of Abundant Life Church — 1995-Present
In the last 20 years we have lived and breathed revival, built a new facility and seen many filled with the Holy Ghost.
Pastor of Pampa UPC in Pampa TX — 1990-1995
We were honored to Pastor a great church for 4.5 years! The only reason we left was because God called us to go to Mount Pleasant TX!
Youth President of Texico District — 1991-1995
Organized and administrated youth camps, youth conventions, and missions trips in two different states, New Mexico and West Texas! We were able to see many young people give their life to God and follow the calling into the ministry!

Traveled and preached in many states holding revivals from Texas to New York! We saw many filled with the Holy Ghost and BaptIzed in Jesus Name!
Who we ARE
We are nothing of ourselves; We are merely sinners saved and changed by the grace and Power of God. We are a group of believers, a part of a larger church that Jesus bought with His own life.
We have different jobs, hobbies, interest and we all came to God through different circumstances and situations. When we discovered that is was possible to walk with God and live according to His word, we all agreed that it was better than the way we were living, and thus we became a part of God’s family.
Our Purpose is to provide a connection
for all people to Jesus Christ through
Worship,
Evangelism,
Discipleship,
and Fellowship.

What we believe
Fundamental Doctrine
The basic and fundamental doctrine shall be the Bible standard of full salvation, which is repentance, baptism in water by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
We shall endeavor to keep the unity of the Spirit until we all come into the unity of the faith, all the same time admonishing all brethren that they shall not contend for their different views to the disunity of the body.
About the Bible
The Bible is the infallible Word of God and the authority for salvation and Christian living (2 Timothy 3:15-17).

About God
There is one God, who has revealed Himself as our Father, in His Son Jesus Christ, and as the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is God manifested in flesh. He is both God and man (Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 4:4-6; Colossians 2:9; 1 Timothy 3:16).
About Sin and Salvation
Everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ (Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9).
About the Gospel
The saving gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again. We obey the gospel (2 Thessalonians 1:8; 1 Peter 4:17) by repentance (death to sin), water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (resurrection) (1 Corinthians 15:1-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; Romans 6:3-4).
About Christian Living
As Christians, we are to love God and others. We should live a holy life inwardly and outwardly, and worship God joyfully. The supernatural gifts of the Spirit, including healing, are for the church today (Mark 12:28-31; 2 Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; 1 Corinthians 12:8-10).
About the Future
Jesus Christ is coming again to catch away His church. In the end will be the final resurrection and the final judgment. The righteous will inherit eternal life, and the unrighteous eternal death (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 20:11 15).
